day 3- Friday mind blitz

HAPPY FRIDAY MY BLOGGERS!!!!!!

Is everyone ready for the weekend? I know I am: two days with the love of my life and my two beautiful children! Weekends are always fun!!!! My grandmother isn’t coming; I cleaned for no reason. But that is OK because my grandfather is sick and I would most defiantly prefer him to feel better!!!! Plus the house needed the spring cleaning I did. I threw a lot of stuff away that was just lying around taking up space. This time I’m going to try to keep everything where it is suppose to be so I don’t have to work so hard the next time!!! Wish me luck on that one lol. (I always say this, and it lasts maybe a week.)

So those that know me will know I am a music junky! I listen to everything from hard rock to hip hop to country, and occasionally I have been known to be caught red handed listening to my grandfather’s folk music! So with that being said, I am absolutely in love with country radio right now. It used to be I would only listen to country music in the car (for the kids). Well here lately I have fallen in love with it, plus rap and rock music just aren’t the same anymore. I mean really who wants to listen to Justin Bieber, and Lady Gaga; (although my daughter does like that “baby” song from Justin, and I do like “bad romance” by Gaga) and let’s face it: rock music has become very repetitive (just my opinion). I just want to know what happened to great artists like (my favorite) No Doubt, and some original Jay Z or hell DMX!!!!! I will say that I am a big fan of the indie rock right now, but you don’t hear the wonderful, Lights, or Imogen Heap on the radio (well not here at least). I have also begun to be an avid listener to Christian bands such as RED, and Skillet (you will have to check these four bands out). So with all that being said , I just feel that all the good rappers are fading to the blackness, and the rockers of my time trying to fit in to the today ( i.e.: Green Day). I have no choice but to turn to my roots of country music. It will never change; they still sing of broken hearts, cheating husbands, revenge, and love (better than anyone ever has). So with that being said, don’t you miss the good days when on every channel you turned the radio to, there was a song you LOVED? I know I miss it!

Have added a play list of those four bands for your listening pleasure!!!!! Enjoy!

Another thing that has run through my mind today- well I should say this morning- is friends. Am I the only one that loves all of their friends so much that it would be painful and heartbreaking if you lost any of them? Probably not. I have four best friends; some I talk to on a regular basis, others I talk to on occasion, but I consider them my best friends because it would be (like I said) painful to be without them. You all might think I’m crazy. You’re saying to yourself “You would live; you’re just being overly dramatic!”  Well, you are half right, I am being overly dramatic because I would live, but as for the pain, I’m not being dramatic. I have gone through almost losing a friend that I have had for years, (and when I say years I mean it) and it really did feel like my heart was bleeding.  So to all my besties….. I LOVE YOU, AND WILL DO ANYTHING FOR YOU!!!! I HOPE YOU ALL KNOW THAT!!!!! Oh and by the way, my besties, if you are reading this and not leaving comments (you know who you are) I’m going to seriously hurt you! Friends are so important: they laugh with you, cry with you, play around with you (in my case this means that they follow my stupid games like going along with my randomness). Of course, after a short time, or a long time depending on the friend, you start to become attached. You want to know everything about this person and them, you. Then after a while you start to feel love towards them. They help you out when you need it, and (in my case) you would give them a left lung if they asked for it (Not that any of my friends would want my lung). So with that being said, now you know that friendship is on my mind today. And, well, it’s important to hold to those that you hold dear. Hold them and carry them very close to your heart.

Also, what is up with dogs???? My dogs are so, so crazy. I have two. One is a mixed bread (of what I couldn’t tell you). She is very small, but she is the alpha in my little pack, even with my little pups. She runs the show around here, and we have a lab that is twice her size and she still controls everything. WEIRD: I THINK SO. Penny, my little alpha, will jump the back yard fence to chase away coyotes, and other dogs, and of course if a person that she is not used to comes in my back yard she will go ballistic. She has also been known to bark and growl at men, even ones that she has known for a very long time. She just doesn’t like men I guess. She has also herded my children to the porch and kept them there when a man came in the back yard to talk to my husband. SHE IS SUCH A GOOD DOG!!!! Ally, my lab, is just to playful and, well, a puppy. She will only bark at other animals but has no protective instinct. That’s ok though, because it’s nice to have a loving puppy around and not just penny my alpha tuff bitch (pardon my French, but she is). Here is a picture of my girls! (That’s what I call them even though I have a daughter; I do not put her in the category of my girls) -Penny on left, Ally on right!

They do tend to make me very angry. Ally has a chewing problem, but I have heard that it’s a lab thing so I just try to pick everything up so she won’t have to get in trouble for it. Penny has a problem with being too ALPHA. She will growl and snap at Ally when they are fed because she believes she has the right to eat first. This makes me very angry, so I have started sitting with them and feeding them separately! Even though they have their faults, I believe they have feelings just like people do and I treat them as my other children (Even though they do sleep outside, or in my laundry room). Every person has a fault, and the chewing and being too ALPHA, is there’s.

Other random things that have came to my mind today: rain; thank GOD for the rain that It looks like we are about to get. My dad is a farmer and could really use the rain, and my little family would really like to have a bonfire one of these weekends and we can’t without rain because we are in a burn ban. SO THANK YOU GOD! Also have been thinking about tacos, and how much I could really go for some awesome Mexican food right now! Maybe I can convince my husband to take us out to eat this weekend for some Mexican food!!!! Hmmm …. might be worth the try. I will bat my eyes and wear something sexy and see if that will persuade him. Lol.  Still probably won’t work, because we have so much to do this weekend but still, it’s worth a try. My mind has also been running on the track of spring break for my daughter is right around the corner; what will I do? They are not going to be here, my thing 1 and thing 2. They will be staying the week with their nana. So the question is: what in the world am I going to do, all by myself with no hoodlums to chase after? Answer: I have no idea!!!!
One random crazy thing my mind has pondered today is: wouldn’t it suck to be ant? I sure think it would, but then again I have a phobia about ants. I can look at them from a distance but if one crawls on me I flip out. I am fine with other bugs (well, besides bees) but ants freak me out big time. But that isn’t the only reason why it would suck to be an ant. Can you imagine running around all hurry-scurry-like to do a job that is life threatening every single day? It would have to be miserable because here you are, minding your own business, doing your job that the queen told you to do. Then BAM, out of nowhere, you are squished by a dog, or a person, or a car! That would just be HORRIBLE!!!!!

That’s my randomness for the day my fellow blogging community. Once again I will not be blogging on the weekends so this is tata for now (or ttfn as tigger would say) and have a great weekend! Blog you on Monday!

  1. Am, get the lab with a chewing problem, kongs (dog toys), and give it to her everytime she is chewing on something she is not suppose to be. We trained Zoey (rather easy) this away!! Good Luck!
