wed-thurs blog plus rant of the week!

Hello my bloggers! Yesterday’s blog was pretty emotional and I'm sorry about that, but for you mothers, you know how hard it is to see your children grow up! This week has been going very slow for me. I feel like it should already be Friday!! Not that I'm looking forward to this weekend or next week because I will be all by myself, no kids :( ! But I do feel like it should be Friday. 
 
Today it is very dreary outside.  It’s like I still live in England. Been raining for 3 days. That's ok, though; we need the rain, but not sprinkles like it’s been doing; we need hard core rain! But it doesn't seem like we are going to get that. 
 
I was reminded by my mother the other day that I should really tell you all why I'm so scared of ants. So here it goes. When I was 8 or so I was told by my mother to go clean my room. Shocker, right? That's what moms do, ground you ‘til your rooms clean. Lol. Well so I went to go do it I was almost done and I noticed a cup on my head board that needed to be brought in to the kitchen. So I grabbed the drink (I think it was juice), and wasn't paying any attention to the cup, just that I was almost done. So half way to the kitchen I started to feel like things were crawling all over me and biting me (Ewwww just the thought is freaking me out). I looked down at my arm and screamed bloody murder while I also dropped the cup on the floor- spilling the contents all over the floor. I was so freaked out by the ants all over me biting me that I didn't care about the mess I had just made. I was still screaming (and correct me if I'm wrong, mom, this is where my
 memory goes fuzzy) and I do believe that while all of this was going on ( I probably was giving my mom a heart attack) my mother rushed over and found it was just because of ants. She probably thought I was crazy. If I remember correctly, even if I was scared and freaked, I still had to clean up the mess. Now, mind you, these ants were not your normal house ants. We lived by a wooded area and these ants were the giant carpenter ants! HUGE BLACK BITING ANTS!!!!! I HATE ANTS!!!!!! And that my fellow bloggers is how I became so scared of ants, to an almost phobia stage of scared! 
 
Also, another thing that's on my mind today is books. I just want more of them. It’s like every time I buy a bunch I get to looking and I see more that I want. A friend of mine told me that I have a serious problem about buying books. I think she says it because every year in one month I will spend close to 300 dollars in books, and that's just one month, not counting the other 11 months out of the year. Lol. Well, she will find it amusing that now that I have realized my addiction I am looking for a BBA (book buyers anonymous) lol. If that doesn't help me cut down my spending I'm sure that the rising price of gas will! Lol.
 
That brings me to my RANT OF THE WEEK!!!!! What in the world is going on in this country? Why in the hell do we have to suffer because of a third world country not getting along? In my opinion we should not be spending our money on oil from other places other than our own!! I have heard Alaska is covered in oil, and I know where I live there are oil pumps everywhere, and what about in the ocean- we know it’s there. So instead of spending money buying it overseas, spend the money to drill more here at home!!! I think we might be surprised. Instead of expanding our cities, check for oil! I mean really, why in the world are we spending money we don't have just for oil? There are local companies right here in America with all this oil, give them that money and in return they will help our economy by paying our workers, and our workers will buy more around town! That will boost our economy! That's it- I'm running for president! I really hope the government
 can fix this problem soon. People can't afford to go to work and feed their kids if all their money is going into gas to get to either of these places!
